Dear Mixdesk users,
Thank you for using Mixdesk. On January 15, 2026, we are updating Web channel visit analytics to improve the service.
This change reduces system load so more resources can support core functions such as conversations and contact management.
1. What is changing?
This change applies only to visit data from the Web channel. Other channels, including SDK, LINE, and Facebook, are unaffected.
1. Features being removed from the Web channel:
- Data Monitoring: Web-visit metrics such as new visitors, visits, and page views will no longer appear.
- Conversations > Website Conversations report: Traffic source, landing page, and conversation page dimensions will be removed.
2. Data collection changes for the Web channel:
- Mixdesk will stop recording and storing Web channel visit data.
What remains available:
- This change does not affect visit analytics from the SDK, LINE, Facebook, and other channels or their functionality.
- Your core business data, including conversation records, contact information, and chat history, remains available. Core functions continue to operate.
2. Why make this change?
The aim is to “reduce system load and improve efficiency”.
Web-visit data has grown rapidly and consumes substantial resources despite limited use. Focusing resources on core functions will help:
- Improve stability: Reduce system load and the risk of delays or interruptions.
- Improve core operations: Make conversations and contact management more responsive.
- Support future development: Make resources available for new functionality.
3. How does this affect you?
- You will no longer be able to view visit analytics from the Web channel in workspace reports and metrics.
- Core business functions are unaffected.
- Your day-to-day conversations and contact management continue as usual.
- Functionality and data for SDK, LINE, Facebook, and other channels are unaffected.
4. If you still need website analytics
For website-traffic analysis, the announcement recommends dedicated third-party tools:
- Google Analytics (GA4): Website analytics covering user journeys, conversion funnels, and audience information.
- Baidu Analytics: A free analytics tool optimized for Chinese websites and domestic traffic analysis.
How to integrate
Typically, add a tracking snippet to your website. Refer to the tools’ official sites for setup instructions.
5. Key dates
- January 12, 2026: Web-visit data displays will be hidden in the product interface.
- January 15, 2026: New Web-visit data will no longer be recorded, and the change takes full effect.
